Zeroing the HP printer chip is required to reuse the cartridges. This is due to the fact that manually refilling them can cause a failure, and in the future the printing device cannot perceive the cartridges correctly.
It is necessary
- - ink for the cartridge;
- - layout diagram of chipsets on cartridges;
- - scotch tape.
Instructions
Step 1
First, get the ink that's right for your printer model. You should not save on this - because the durability of office equipment depends on their quality. The exact name of your printing device can be found in the instructions for this device.
Step 2
Download from the Internet the layout of the chipsets on the cartridges. This can be done from the official website of the HP company. It must strictly match your inkjet printer model. Otherwise, these steps may not help. Also check if it can be used for zeroing. If yes, then follow the further instructions.
Step 3
Referring to the diagram, remove your cartridge from the printer and place it with the contacts facing up. When doing this, the print head should be facing towards you. The figure will indicate the order of the chipsets. To start the process, tape the first of them with tape. Then insert the cartridge into the slot and turn on the printer. On the monitor screen, you will see a message stating that it cannot be used for printing. Ignore the information and print a test page.
Step 4
Pull the cartridge out again and glue the next contact in a row, while two of them should be glued. Do the same - install the cartridge in the printer and print the document. Then remove it.
Step 5
Next, peel off the tape from the first contact. Reinsert the cartridge into the compartment and print a test copy. Take it out and release the second contact from the adhesive tape. Wipe them periodically with alcohol wipes for better contact with the phases.
Step 6
In the process of the performed manipulations, the chipsets are reset to zero. When you put the cartridge back in, the inkjet printer software starts to recognize it as full. This must be done every time you refill the cartridges.
