Using PowerPoint presentations is great as teaching or demonstration material. You just need to install Microsoft Office on your computer, which includes this application. However, a presentation saved in the latest version of Office (2007) cannot be opened in earlier versions of it (97-2003) due to format mismatches. In this case, there are two possible options for your actions.

Step 1
The first is to save a copy of the presentation in an earlier version of Power Point (with the pps extension instead of ppsx).
Step 2
To do this, open the presentation in Office Power Point 2007 and click the "Microsoft Office" button,

select the command "Save Document", "Power Point Presentation 97-02003",
Step 4
specify the file name and folder to save, "Save".
Step 5
The second option is to download and install the Format Compatibility Pack by visiting the official Microsoft website. By installing this update, you will be able to convert presentations to the format you want.

If the office is not installed on the computer, viewing Power Point presentations is still possible. If you are prudent enough, then when you save the document, you need to specify the file type "Power Point Demo", then it will start automatically.
Step 7
You can download and install Power Point Viewer, available for free download from the Microsoft website. It allows you to print and view presentations (even password protected ones), but no editing options.
