Not every modern TV model has good speakers, but almost all models allow you to connect devices via Bluetooth. How to connect bluetooth headphones to the TV depending on the model, manufacturer and operating system?
What do you need
Everything is simple here: in order to connect headphones to a TV, you need to have a TV that allows you to do this, as well as a Bluetooth transmitter and the headphones themselves. If the TV has the ability to connect devices via Bluetooth directly, no transmitters are needed. Headphone connection specifics may vary depending on the model and specifications of your TV.
If the TV is running Android
Usually, Sony and Philips TVs work under Android, and the plus is that the developers did not make any restrictions for connecting via Bluetooth. To connect, do the following:
- Go to the Android TV menu.
- Select the section "Wireless networks".
- Turn on Bluetooth.
- Click on "Search for Bluetooth device" (the headphones must be within 5 meters).
- Turn on the headphones and click on the search on the TV.
- After the headphones are found, click on "Connect".
- Define the type of the new device as "Headphones".
At the same time, a notification will appear on the TV stating that headphones with the name of the headphones model are connected to the TV.
If there is a Samsung TV at home
Samsung TVs with a Smart TV system are very popular today, however, when it comes to connecting Bluetooth headphones, many people start having problems.
The vast majority of problems are somehow related to compatibility, so it is advisable to purchase headphones from the same company. Follow these steps to connect your headphones to your Samsung TV:
- Go to TV settings.
- Go to the "Sound" section.
- Find "Speaker Settings".
- Turn on the headphones.
- Select the tab with a list of Bluetooth headphones.
- If this tab is grayed out, go to the service menu and enable this option.
The settings interface and the name of the sections may change, but the principle of operation will remain the same. The exception is the K series TVs, in which the user needs to go to the "Sound" section from the settings, and then go to "Select speaker" and select "Audio Bluetooth" there.
If there is an LG TV at home
LG's operating system is webOS, so the connection will be different and more complicated. And the very first difficulty is that only LG can be connected to LG. To synchronize, you need to select "Sound" in the settings, and there - "LG Wireless Sound Synchronization".
It should be noted that the TV understands by wireless synchronization communication not with headphones, but with a remote control, so in some cases an adapter may be needed.
Using the transmitter
You can also note one more method, and it consists in buying a special transmitter that connects the headphones to the TV. It can be an Mpow Streambot adapter or similar. Transmitters and adapters, depending on the model, can connect multiple headphones.
