In professional musical activities, a microphone is connected to an amplifier in order to increase the volume, and in everyday life it is used for telephone conversations through computer programs. Microphone models vary in price and purpose.
Instructions
Step 1
Connect a microphone to your laptop through the microphone input to your audio card. The entrance is marked with a pink circle on the side panel.
Step 2
Open "Control Panel" from the "Start" menu. Next, open the Sound component.
Step 3
Select the Recording tab to display a list of microphones connected to your laptop. If you find it difficult to find the newly connected one in the list, say something to it. The volume balance will respond. Highlight the microphone, click the Properties button.
Step 4
In the "General" tab, configure the use of the microphone (on or off). In the "Levels" tab, select the volume and gain. In the "Enhancements" tab, configure the use of special effects and the recording mode. In "Advanced" adjust the sound quality and microphone use by different programs. Click “OK” to save the settings, close the menu.
