Many applications embedded in Internet pages use technologies and a special programming language Java. However, despite the similarity of names, JavaScript and, in fact, Java are two completely different functions designed to perform different tasks.
Instructions
Step 1
Download and install the latest version of free Java technology on your computer from the company's official website.
Step 2
Call the main menu of the computer system by clicking the "Start" button and go to the "All Programs" item to carry out the procedure for enabling JavaScript in the Opera browser.
Step 3
Run the application and open the "Tools" menu of the top toolbar of the browser window.
Step 4
Specify the "Settings" command and select the "Content" tab of the dialog box that opens.
Step 5
Apply the check boxes for Enable JavaScript and Enable Java and confirm the selected changes by clicking OK.
Step 6
Perform a similar operation to enable JavaScript in other installed browsers - launch the Mozilla Firefox application and expand the "Tools" menu located in the upper toolbar of the application window.
Step 7
Go to the "Settings" item and select the "Content" tab of the opened settings dialog box.
Step 8
Apply the checkboxes in the fields "Use Java" and "Use JavaScript" and confirm the saving of the changes made by clicking the OK button.
Step 9
Launch Internet Explorer and expand the "Tools" menu of the upper service toolbar of the main browser window.
Step 10
Specify "Internet Options" and select the "Security" tab of the properties dialog box that opens.
Step 11
Call the following security settings dialog box by clicking the "Custom" button at the bottom of the properties window.
Step 12
Go to the Scripting group and apply the check box to the Allow field in the Active Scripting section.
Step 13
Also check the "Allow" box in the "Run Java Application Scripts" section and confirm the selected changes by clicking OK.
Step 14
Restart your browser to save the new settings.
