Step 1
The first way to disable Avira Antivirus is to uninstall it. The method is cardinal and effective. However, after the completion of the ongoing operations, the antivirus will need to be reinstalled, and this takes time. If you decide to use this method, go to the "Add or Remove Programs" menu in the "Control Panel", select the Avira line and click the "Remove" button.
Step 2
It is more correct and simple to temporarily disable the AntiVir Guard monitoring module. To do this, right-click on the Avira umbrella icon in the lower right corner of the screen and uncheck the corresponding item in the drop-down menu.

The second way to do this is to launch the Avira Control Panel. To do this, click on the same icon, only with the left mouse button and twice. In the window that appears, there is an AntiVir Guard line indicating the current state, and next to it is a button for changing this state.
Step 4
After the operations that require disabling the antivirus are completed, do not forget to activate it. This can be done by repeating the steps described above, but this time to enable anti-virus protection. AntiVir Guard will automatically switch on after restarting the computer.
