Step 1
Connect the wires to the motherboard after it is installed in the system unit. Despite the obviousness of this decision, many people try to first connect all the cables to the connectors, and then install the board into the case. The correct procedure for connecting cables to the motherboard is as follows: a processor with a cooling system is installed on the motherboard, then the board is mounted in the case, and only after that the necessary cables are connected.
Step 2
First on the list is the power cord. This is a wire with a wide strip of 24 or 20 contacts arranged in two rows. It is connected to the corresponding connector of the board, and it is impossible to stick it "on the contrary", the bevel keys inside the block will interfere. Gently insert it into the connector and press lightly until the latch locks onto the shoe.
Step 3
Connect the processor power cable. It has a 4 or 8 pin connector and a socket for its processor.
Step 4
Now the most difficult thing is to connect control buttons and sensors to the motherboard, the so-called "front panel". This seems difficult due to the fact that the connectors of different sensors and buttons are the same, and it is very easy to confuse them. To avoid mistakes, find the place in the motherboard manual for the Front Panel wiring diagram. Connect the wires according to the instructions. It should be noted that you can connect the Power and Reset buttons without observing the polarity, unlike the power and hard disk activity sensors, where polarity is required.
