Step 1
Do not take any unnecessary steps - the sooner you start the data recovery process, the more likely it will be successful. Download and install Easy Recovery. If you have the opportunity, then follow the procedure for finding and downloading the program from another computer. Do not install the application on the partition of the hard drive from which you will be recovering files.
Step 2
Launch Easy Recovery and open Data Recovery. Now select one of the following options for the utility: Format Recovery or Deleted Recovery. The first option allows you to work with a formatted partition, and the second - with deleted files. In the next window, click on the hard disk partition on which you want to search for data. Highlight both sections if you are not sure about the correctness of your choice.
Step 3
Check the box next to Full Scan. This will improve the quality of the data being recovered. Select the file format to search for. To do this, use ready-made templates or fill in the File Filter field yourself. Click Next and wait while the search for deleted files is completed. This procedure can take over an hour.
Step 4
In the menu that appears, select the data that you want to recover. Connect the USB drive in advance if your hard drive is not partitioned. The recovered data cannot be saved to the partition on which it was located. Click the Next button and select the device to which the selected files will be copied. Specify the save folder and click Next. Close the program after completing the recovery procedure. Check the integrity of the received data.
