The "virtual" PSP 5.03GEN firmware began to show quite tangible advantages over CFWEnabler firmware. Currently, this firmware allows the use of plugins in XMB without unnecessary problems - a working version of one of the most famous plugins, CXMB, has been prepared, which allows you to install CTF themes.

Instructions
Step 1
Transfer the plug-in to the memory card. To do this, download the archive containing the firmware files. You can download it from a large number of PSP-specialized resources. Enter the cxmb directory. It is located in the full directory, where you need to copy the cxmb folder. The folder is copied to the root directory of the flash memory card (all user files will also be located there).
Step 2
Copy from the same full directory the seplugins subdirectory to the root directory of the flash memory card. In the event that such a directory is already present in the root directory, you will need to confirm the replacement of the existing directory. If one has not been created yet, then seplugins will be copied without confirmation.
Step 3
Choose a theme from the pre-downloaded English or Russian themes - you can download them on the same specialized resources as 5.03GEN. Save the CTF file in the PSP directory, THEME subdirectory. To start the theme, you should run the CTF_Convertor.exe file, which is located in the PSP directory, THEME subdirectory. It will automatically patch every theme it finds in this directory.
Step 4
Download 5.03 GEN if not already done. If the firmware has already been activated, then you should launch any application or game program and exit it in the XMB. Create a VSH text document in the seplugins directory, which is also located in the root directory of the map and stores the plugins loaded on the device, using an ordinary Notepad. In the created text document, write the line ms: /cxmb/cxmb.prx, and save the changes in the document.
Step 5
After that, you can activate the plugins through the Recovery menu. Turn on the default theme and switch to the English interface. Then move the CTF theme to the PSPTheme directory, restart the PSP and enable the theme through the Settings menu, Theme Settings section, Theme subsection - and you can enjoy the new design.
Step 6
Change the theme through the Settings menu, Theme Settings section, Theme subsection. Once you select a new theme, the PSP will simulate a reboot that won't actually take place. In this case, the firmware will remain modified, and the menu will delight the user with a new design. You can cancel CTF themes using the VSH menu, Recovery section, Plugins subsection, cxmb item. In it, you should sequentially select the item Disabled, Back and Exit.
