Displaying several documents in tabs of one application window is undoubtedly a more advanced technology compared to the previously used principle of "one window - one document". This option is especially in demand in applications for viewing web pages - in browsers. In almost all applications of this kind, tabs are placed on a separate panel, the display of which can be controlled in the program settings.
It is necessary
Internet Explorer, Opera, Mozilla Firefox or Apple Safari browser
Instructions
Step 1
If you are using Internet Explorer, open the basic Internet settings window - for this, the Internet Options item is placed in the "Tools" section of the application menu. You need the Options button on the General tab. There are three of them on this tab - click the bottom one (the one that is placed in the "Tabs" section). Check the topmost checkbox of the "Customize tabbed browsing" window that opens. Then click the OK buttons in the two open windows and restart Internet Explorer - the tabs will return.
Step 2
In Opera, to open a similar window with a collection of browser settings, you can press the key combination Ctrl + F12. On the Advanced tab, the section related to customizing tabs opens by default. Click on the only button located in it ("Tabs settings"), and in the additional window, which will then open, uncheck the "Open window without tabs" checkbox. The settings windows can now be closed - click the OK buttons in them.
Step 3
Mozilla Firefox also requires opening a window with browser settings to enable the display of the tab bar. Do this by opening the "Tools" section in the menu and clicking the "Settings" line in it. You won't have to choose a tab with the necessary settings for a long time - it is called "Tabs". Check the box next to "Always show tab bar" and click OK.
Step 4
When using the Apple Safari browser, the tab bar automatically appears on its own when more than one tab is open in the application window. If there is one tab in the presence of this panel, there is no need, but you can still display it through the main menu - open the "View" section in it and select "Show tab bar". There is the same item in the menu, which can be accessed by clicking on the stylized gear in the upper right corner of the browser window.
