Many musicians face the problem of protecting their discs on which musical works are recorded. To prevent other users from copying your music, but only to allow playback, you can use special copy protection utilities.

The purpose of programs for protecting disks is to prevent a common user from copying the contents of a storage medium to a hard drive. The protected disk cannot be launched in a special program for capturing images and cannot be emulated in the system. In this case, the media should be easily reproduced in any audio player.

To protect the music on your disc, you need to install the appropriate program. Among all the utilities, Key2Audio, WinLock, Easy Audio Lock and TZCopyprotection are worth noting. The first one blocks the ability to play an audio disc on the computer, however, when playing it on the player, no problems arise.
Step 3
WinLock is a fast and simple utility. It will create a file with the.cue extension, and then add several artificial data and music tracks that do not carry any information, but can cause a malfunction in the software for making copies from discs. Easy Audio Lock works similarly to Key2Audio. TZCopyprotection is a program that not only creates dummy tracks, but also can write the necessary files over it.
Step 4
Download the selected utility from the official website of the software developer. Open the setup file and install. Run the desired program through the shortcut created on the desktop and insert a blank CD or DVD into the computer drive.
Step 5
All of the above programs have the same data recording system. In the utility window, specify the music files that you would like to add to the protected storage medium. Then select the protection options. Some applications also offer to set a password to start the disc. Enter your music files, give the disc name and write speed. Wait for the end of the burning procedure. The creation and recording of the protected music disc is complete.
