Wireless interfaces are very important for today's laptop. With them, you go online and use a wireless mouse. But when you're on the go, wireless interfaces are dangerous to your mobile device's battery. Therefore, it is so important to know how to quickly turn them on or off.
Necessary
- Notebook
- Windows 8 or 8.1
Instructions
Step 1
The easiest way is to look for Wi-Fi or Bluetooth graphics on your keyboard or on the sides of your laptop. The wireless interface can be turned off with a separate switch. But more often it is a button on the keyboard that must be pressed together with the Fn key. You can check if Wi-Fi is turned off by a special LED, which is also indicated by an antenna icon
Step 2
There are usually no problems with Wi-Fi - there are control buttons for it in almost any laptop. Another Bluetooth battery eater, on the other hand, usually causes more problems. However, not in Windows 8. Everything here is adapted for mobile devices.
Bring up the PC settings menu. Move your mouse to the right edge or click on the right edge of the screen if it's a touchscreen. Select Settings, then the Change computer settings button (in the figure).
Step 3
Now select Network, Airplane Mode. This is where the buttons for controlling the wireless interfaces are concentrated.
