To ensure comfortable work, the image on your computer monitor should be sufficiently bright and contrasting. At the same time, it is necessary that the desktop has enough space to accommodate the desired shortcuts, and the icons on it are not too small, but not too large. To do this, you just need to adjust some image parameters, first of all - the graphic screen resolution.
Instructions
Step 1
You can set the graphic resolution of the monitor using the display properties menu. To enter it, make one click with the right mouse button on an area of the desktop that is free of icons. In the opened context menu, left-click once on the "Properties" line. A window will appear called "Properties: Display", in the top line of which you need to select the "Parameters" tab.
You can get to this menu in another way - by clicking on the "Start" button, then go to the section called "Control Panel" and the "Display" button.
Step 2
In the opened tab "Options" under the line "Screen resolution" you will see a small slider. Place the cursor on it and, without releasing the left mouse button, set the screen resolution you need.
Select a standard resolution based on the diagonal of your monitor:
~ for fifteen-inch - 800 600 points;
~ for seventeen-inch - 1,024,768 points;
~ for nineteen-inch and above 1280 1024 points.
Step 3
Subsequently, if the captions for the icons or the icons themselves on the screen seem too small to you, you can set a lower resolution.
If you want to enlarge or reduce only the captions, and keep the icons the same size, use the "Appearance" tab of the "Properties: Display" menu.
Open the tab, select and set the desired font size.
