As we all know, a computer has several modes of operation: sleep mode, hibernation mode, and hybrid sleep mode. What do these regimes mean?

Sleep mode In Sleep mode, the computer operates at extremely low voltage. This mode of operation of the computer allows it to very quickly restore work and go into a normal mode of energy consumption. All that is needed to switch from sleep mode to normal mode is to press just one button and wait just a few seconds. Sleep mode is very much like the pause button on a turntable. You pause the song, and then use the Play button to turn it on.

Hibernation mode. In hibernation mode, the computer also operates in a low power consumption mode. Hibernation was not designed primarily for desktops, not laptops. When the computer enters hibernation mode, everything that is turned on is saved on the computer, and the computer itself goes into low power mode. If you switch the computer into hibernation mode, then everything that is turned on will be saved in the computer's memory, and the computer itself will turn off. When it turns on, everything turns back on.

Of all the existing modes, it is the hibernation mode that requires the least power. If you do not have the opportunity to recharge your laptop, it is best to put it in this mode whenever possible.

Finally, there is hybrid sleep mode. This mode combines both sleep and hibernation modes. This mode is for desktop computers. When you turn on this mode, everything that was open on the computer is saved to the hard disk, and the computer itself goes into reduced energy consumption. In the event of a temporary power outage, the computer will restore all data when turned on.
