If you want to improve the performance of your computer, then start by tweaking your RAM. Typically, this method can increase the speed of your PC by 10-20 percent.

Speccy
Instructions
Step 1
There are two ways to increase the frequency of the RAM: change its multiplier or the system bus frequency. It is better to use the second option, because it provides a smooth increase in performance, and not a sharp jump, which can lead to damage to the device. Install the Speccy utility and run it. Open the "RAM" menu and look at the frequency with which the boards are operating at the moment.
Step 2
Restart your computer and open the BIOS by pressing the Del key. Open the Advanced menu and find the FSB / Memory Ratio item. It may be called differently in different motherboard models. Set this item to Manual instead of Auto. Now you can set the frequency and multiplier values yourself. Follow these steps. Increase the frequency of the RAM bus by 20-50 Hertz.
Step 3
Return to the main BIOS menu window and select Save & Exit. Press the Enter key and wait for the computer to restart. Now check the stability of the RAM. Open Control Panel and select the System and Security (Windows Seven) menu. Open the "Administrative Tools" submenu and run the "Windows Memory Check" shortcut. Confirm the restart of the computer to check the status of the RAM.
Step 4
If testing has shown good results, then re-enter the BIOS menu and again raise the frequency of the RAM. Perform the cycles described until the RAM check system detects errors. Then you can try to reduce the memory latency. To do this, alternately lower the indicators of the four types of timings by one point. They are usually located in Advanced Settings.
Step 5
If a failure occurs while changing the RAM operation parameters, and the computer stops booting, then remove the BOIS battery from the system unit for a while. This will apply the factory settings of the PC.
