If you use the keyboard for a long time or if you carelessly, its buttons can break. Breakdowns are of different types. The ones that are most common are easy to fix at home.
Necessary
- - Super glue;
- - flat screwdriver.
Instructions
Step 1
If you have a stuck space bar, remove it with a flat screwdriver or a mild knife, pry it from the bottom on both sides and gently pull upward. In this case, the key should bounce. Pay attention to whether the system itself is broken - pressing the button provides a special mechanism that works like a spring.
Step 2
If it's broken, look for a button on your keyboard that you are not using, or one that you could do without, for example, one of the double Alt, Ctrl, CapsLock, Shift, and so on. Pry it up on one side and remove it from the seat. Carefully detach the spring mechanism and insert it into the gap. Put all the buttons back in place.
Step 3
If the spacebar doesn't work because the button just broke, use super glue to hold the parts together. Note that for best results, the button seams should be as smooth as possible. Apply a small amount of glue to both surfaces, connect the button parts and hold them by pressing firmly against each other for 10-15 minutes.
Step 4
Please note that unused glue residues must be removed from the surface of the key before it dries. Repeat the action with the rest of the button, if necessary. It is best to wait a few hours before using the key, ideally you need to wait at least 12 hours. Put the button back in place.
Step 5
If the space bar or another button does not work on your keyboard and there is no mechanical damage, check its contacts. Be sure to clean the inside of the keyboard by taking out the keys and shaking out the accumulated debris. Blow it with a hairdryer, remove dust.
Step 6
Put the keys back in place. In no case, do not pull the buttons on yourself, making great efforts, all actions should be as smooth as possible. You can also remove the buttons with your fingers or nails.
