Step 1
Download the Counter Strike distribution and install it on your Windows computer. The system requirements for this game are low. So, for a comfortable gaming process, a configuration with 256 megabytes of RAM, an 800 megahertz processor and a video card with 64 megabytes of memory is quite enough. A prerequisite for online play is a stable connection either to a local network using Ethernet, or to the Internet using any technology that supports a connection speed of at least 128 Kbps. Step 2
Start the installed game and click on the "New game" button in its start window. In the dialog box that opens for the configurations of the future multiplayer game, select the map on which the match will take place. After selecting a map, open the adjacent tab of the window, which contains more detailed game settings. Here write the name of the game server by which the players will find it on the network. If necessary, set a limit on the number of players on the server, and create a password to connect to the game server. Next, configure options such as the starting amount of money for new players, the time to freeze at the beginning of each round, audibility or footsteps or lack thereof, damage when shooting at comrades, and so on. When you are finished configuring the server, click OK. After that, the download of the game will begin.
Step 3
To connect other users to your online game, they will need to click on the "Find Servers" button in the main game window. In the server search results, players will need to select your server (tell everyone its name in advance) and press the "Connect" button, if necessary, enter the password to connect. As soon as the first player connects, the match will start over. In the future, the game will not be accompanied by a restart when new players are connected.
Step 4
After connecting, each player must choose a team on the side of which he will play (terrorists or counter-terrorists). Each round of the game will end either with the death of players of one team, or with the successful completion of the mission (explosion of a bomb, withdrawal of hostages).
