If, when the computer boots up, the process stops and an inscription appears on the screen with an invitation to press the function key F1, then this means that something unexpected has happened in the boot procedure. Accidental failures are possible, but in the case of regular repetition, it is necessary to take certain actions to find out and eliminate the causes.

Step 1
If your BIOS version does not display a message about the reasons for stopping the download along with a message about the need to press F1, then press this key and read the informational message - further actions depend on the contents of the inscription. Perhaps this will not work out at once, since sometimes the system gives very little time to familiarize yourself with the information and these lines are replaced by information about the subsequent procedures of the boot process. In this case, try restarting your computer several times, or take a picture of the screen with your mobile phone, for example.
Step 2
One of the most common reasons for stopping a boot is the lack of a floppy disk in the drive - this is indicated by a system message. In the BIOS settings panel there is a setting that sets the order of polling the computer disks in search of the operating system bootloader. If the first in this list is a floppy drive, and it is simply not physically present in your computer, then this causes the boot procedure to stop. It is easy to eliminate this cause by changing the polling queue in the BIOS settings or by disabling the floppy drive polling altogether.
Step 3
Another reason may be too low rotation speed of the processor cooling fan (cooler). This reason can be eliminated either by changing the rotational speed of the cooler or by the threshold for triggering such protection in the BIOS settings. In addition, there is a possibility of failure of the rotation sensor. This is a rather dangerous malfunction that potentially threatens the failure of the processor.
Step 4
Sometimes BIOS changes that you make to fix the reasons for stopping the OS from loading are reset each time and this problem repeats. In this case, replace the rechargeable battery on the computer motherboard.
Step 5
If the cause is identified, it is not dangerous, but you cannot eliminate it, then you can temporarily disable the setting in the BIOS settings, which forces it to stop loading. In different versions, this is done a little differently, but you need to start by looking for a parameter named HALT ON on the MAIN tab - it needs to be set to NO ERROR and save the changes.
