Working on a computer, the user may decide that he needs to undo an action or a given command. Cancellation methods will depend on which application or component it was working with.
Instructions
Step 1
In the event that you need to undo the last action performed in a text, graphics editor, browser, 3D modeling application or any other program designed to enter and / or edit data, find the "Edit" item in the top menu bar and select the "Cancel" command in the context menu. The same applies to commands executed in an open folder window.
Step 2
Explore the program interface, there may be buttons on the toolbar to undo and redo the last command. They usually look like rounded up and down arrows or right and left arrows. Move the cursor over such a button and hold it for a few seconds - a tooltip will help you understand if you have chosen the right button. Very often, the last actions can be undone with the shortcut keys Ctrl and Z or Ctrl, alt="Image" and Z.
Step 3
If you delete a file, you can try to undo the deletion as described in the first step, or restore it from the recycle bin on your desktop. Open the Trash component, find the deleted file and right-click on it. In the context menu, select the "Restore" command. When a program has been removed from the computer, it will have to be reinstalled.
Step 4
If you worked with system components or corrected settings in any application and managed to apply new settings, it will be impossible to undo them. You need to independently return the parameters that were set before the changes were made or set the default values by clicking on the corresponding button. In the event that you have not yet clicked the OK or Apply button, just click the Cancel button.
Step 5
In those applications where the command is supposed to be executed within a certain period of time (installing a new program, defragmenting the disk, scanning the system for files infected with viruses), you need to interrupt the process and close the window. This can be done by clicking on the button "Stop", "Stop", "Cancel". If a request window appears, confirm your actions in it.
