Any laptop will not work without an operating system. The boot process on a Windows laptop is not that much of a hassle, although it can take several hours. Many laptops are sold with Windows already installed. They are generally much more expensive. So it is better to buy a laptop without an operating system, and only then buy a license disk with Windows and install it on the laptop.

Necessary

Laptop, license disk with Windows OS

Instructions

Step 1

Before starting the installation, make sure the Windows disc is in the laptop's CD / DVD-ROM. Turn on the laptop and immediately after turning it on, press the F5 key. Depending on the laptop model, the alternate keys can be F8 or F12.

Step 2

The laptop startup options window will appear. In this window select CD / DVD ROM and press Enter. Wait for the disc in the drive to start spinning and press any key.

Step 3

The process of loading Windows onto the laptop hard drive begins. After the main files have finished downloading, you will be taken to a menu from which you can start installing Windows. If this is the first time you boot Windows onto a laptop, you need to partition the disk space. Select the line "Indistinguishable area", then - the command "Create section". A window will appear where you must specify the size of this created partition of the hard disk. Please note that the first partition will be the system disk for Windows, and that you specify the disk size in megabytes.

Step 4

Now in the line "Indiscernible area" the available megabytes have become less by exactly the same amount by how many megabytes you created the first partition of the hard disk. In this way, create partitions for the entire memory of the hard disk. A maximum of three is recommended.

Step 5

Now you can start the process of loading the operating system. Select partition C (this is the very first partition you created) and then press Enter. The Windows boot process will begin.

Step 6

Next, practically nothing needs to be done. The setup wizard will automatically boot Windows. The laptop will restart several times during the boot process. Do not press any keys during installation.

Step 7

At the end of the installation, you will need to enter user data. Enter your personal details and click "Next". The completion of the Windows boot will end by rebooting the laptop and directly starting it with the already loaded Windows operating system.
