Sometimes you may need to find out the license number of the Windows operating system, for example, to activate software. Or you just want to make sure the license is authentic. All that is needed for this is to download from the Internet and install an additional program.
Necessary
- - AIDA64 Extreme Edition program;
- - TuneUp Utilities program.
Instructions
Step 1
Search the Internet for AIDA64 Extreme Edition. The application is paid, but there is a free period of its use, which is one month. Install the program on your computer. Run it and it will start scanning your system. After its completion, the main menu of the application will open.
Step 2
In the right window of the menu, click on the parameter "Operating system", in the next window also select "Operating system". A window will open that will provide very detailed information about your operating system. The data will be available in several sections. Find the section called "License Information". Find the line "Product ID" in it. The number on this line is the license number for your version of Windows.
Step 3
Another program with which you can find out the license number is called TuneUp Utilities. Download it from the Internet. In doing so, be sure to take into account the version of your operating system, since, for example, the version for Windows XP may not be compatible with Windows 7. Install the program on your computer. Start it up.
Step 4
After starting TuneUp Utilities for the first time, you will need to wait a bit as it will scan your computer completely. Then you will be prompted to correct the errors found. If you agree, the program will optimize Windows, after which you will be taken to the main menu of the application. Or you can refuse, in which case the menu will open immediately.
Step 5
Select the section "Fix problems", then - "Show system information". After that go to the Windows tab. In the window that opens, find the "License" section, and in it - the line "Program ID". Opposite this line will be the serial number of your operating system version. You can also read other information under the Windows license.
