Step 1
If you need to copy a part of the drawing, you first need to select it. Then press the keyboard shortcuts Ctrl + Incert. After that, using the main menu, create a new document. Paste the copied part there using the Shift + Insert keys. Now you can work with her.

There is another way of doing things. On the top panel directly in the program itself there are two icons: "Copy" and "Paste". With their help, you can also perform the operations you need.

The easiest way to copy a drawing in Compass is to save it as a drawing and then open it using the paint editor or Microsoft Picture Manager. Next, select the part you want to copy and save it. Then open this image in Compass.
Step 4
You can also take advantage of an alternative. If you need to copy an image from the program, for example, for use in a demo presentation, proceed as follows: press the Shift + PrintScreen key combination (on some keyboard layouts, the name PrtScr or just Print is used). Next, open the Paint editor. Right-click on a blank sheet of paper, and then select "Paste", then cut off the excess parts (edges) and save the image.
