There are several methods for transferring information between computers. The choice of method usually depends on the amount of data to be transferred and the frequency of use of this operation. To ensure constant file exchange, it is recommended to create miniature local networks.

Network cable
Instructions
Step 1
To create a wired LAN, you need one free network card in each computer. Make sure these devices are present in the PC. Connect them with a cross over network cable. Modern network adapters automatically detect the type of connected device, so you can use almost any network cable with LAN connectors.
Step 2
Turn on both computers. After the operating systems are loaded, the network should automatically initialize. If you are working with Windows Seven, then select the "Home Network" item in the window that appears. This will make it easier for you to further customize the parameters.
Step 3
Set static IP addresses for the network adapters of both computers. Open Control Panel and select the "Network Connections" menu. Right-click on the network card icon and go to the parameters of the Internet protocol TCP / IP. For Windows 7 and Vista, use TCP / IPv4.
Step 4
Highlight Use the following IP address and enter a value. When configuring the network card of the second PC, specify a similar address, replacing only the last segment. Now create a shared folder on one of the computers. Select the desired directory and right-click on it. Hover over Sharing and select Homegroup (Read / Write) from the pop-up menu.
Step 5
After a new window appears, click on the "Share this folder" item. Now go to another computer and open the Run menu by pressing the Win and R keys. Enter the command / 125.125.125.1. Replace the numbers shown in the example, enter the IP address of the desired computer. Press the Enter key and wait for the list of public folders of the selected PC to open.
