Almost always, the Kaspersky Anti-Virus program is updated only via the Internet. What should you do in a situation when you have installed an antivirus, have been using it for some time, the anti-virus databases become outdated, and you cannot use the Internet? It should be noted right away that updating the databases without using the Internet at all is unrealistic. It just doesn't have to be on your computer.

Necessary

Computer, KLUpdater program, Internet access (from friends, Internet cafes)

Instructions

Step 1

You need to find a computer that is connected to the internet. You can contact your friends. As a last resort, you can visit the nearest internet club.

Step 2

Download the KLUpdater program. Save the program on a USB flash drive, after removing all unnecessary information from it. Then run the program. The process of updating the anti-virus databases of Kaspersky will begin. Depending on the speed, the process can be extremely lengthy. Do not perform any active actions with the flash drive during the update.

Step 3

After the databases are updated, two more folders will appear in the folder with the KLUpdater program - “Updates” and “Temp”. The "Temp" folder should be deleted. The following steps only require the Updates folder. Now you have all the new Kaspersky databases on the USB flash drive, and you can update the antivirus directly on your computer.

Step 4

Run Kaspersky Anti-Virus on your system. Select "settings". Go to "update" and find "update options". Here select the "database update source". Select the folder that you downloaded and saved on the Updates flash drive as the update source. Click "add source" and point to the package "Updates". Uncheck the box next to the "update servers" item. Save the settings by clicking the "apply" button.

Step 5

Now, in the main menu of the Kaspersky application, click on the update command. Be sure to wait for the antivirus update process to complete. Depending on the version of the databases, the process can last from a few seconds to a couple of minutes. After the update, Kaspersky will issue a report on the application update and show the version of the new databases.

Step 6

Later, save the Updates folder on your computer. When needed, you can simply add new databases to the folder using KLUpdater, as described above.
