Most often, a disk image is used as a source for recording games - a file with the extension iso, nrg, cue, img, etc. In order to burn it to a CD-blank, in addition to the blank itself, you need a CD-recorder and a recording program that can work with image files. One such application is Nero Burning ROM and its simplified version of Nero Express.

Instructions

Step 1

Insert a game CD into the optical disc burner.

Step 2

If the game is stored on your computer as a disc image, then after starting the Nero Express application, select the section on the left side with the name "Image, compilation, copying". As a result, a list of three options will appear on the right side of the window - select "Disk Image or Save Project". Nero will open a window in which you need to find a file with an image of the game being recorded on your computer. Select it and click the "Open" button. After that, the program will go to the "Final recording settings" window.

Step 3

Make sure that the correct optical disc recorder is selected in the Current recorder field in which you inserted the disc. If you see a button labeled "Simulate" in the lower right corner of this window, then click on the vertical rectangular button located in the center of the left side of the window to access additional settings. In the additional panel that opens, uncheck the "Imitation" field and check the "Record" field - the button in the lower right corner will change the caption to "Record".

Step 4

If earlier you had problems when recording on the same disc at maximum speed, then select one of the values in the "Write speed" drop-down list. If you do not have the opportunity to wait for the end of the process, then check the box "Automatically shut down the PC" - Nero will shut down the computer when the CD burning process is finished.

Step 5

Click the Burn button and Nero Express will start the process, which can take from several tens of minutes to several hours. The percentage of completion of the task, along with information about what the application is doing at the current stage, you will see in the information window on the screen. When the recording is finished, the program beeps and pulls out the disc tray.
