Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration is designed to restrict the types of content that a user can view. Disabling this function is performed by standard means of the system and does not imply the involvement of additional software.
Instructions
Step 1
To disable Enhanced Security Configuration in Windows Server 2003, open the main system menu by clicking the "Start" button and go to the "Control Panel" item. Expand the Add / Remove Programs link and expand the Select Windows Components Installation node. Select the "Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration" section and invoke the Windows Components Wizard tool. Uncheck the box next to Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration and confirm the selected action by clicking Next. Wait for the wizard to complete.
Step 2
To disable Enhanced Security Configuration in Windows Server 2008, a different procedure is used. Open the root node in the Service Manager navigation pane and expand the Server Summary link. Expand the Configure IE ESC item in the Security Information group and uncheck the box next to "Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration" in the dialog box that opens. Confirm saving of the changes made by clicking OK. Please note that it is possible to disable the selected function for both server administrators and regular users.
Step 3
In order to disable Enhanced Security Configuration in Windows Server 2008, a different procedure is used. Open the root node in the Service Manager navigation pane and expand the Server Summary link. Expand the Configure IE ESC item in the Security Information group and uncheck the box next to "Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration" in the dialog box that opens. Confirm saving of the changes made by clicking OK. Please note that it is possible to disable the selected feature for both server administrators and general users (for Windows Server 2008).
Step 4
Expand the "Configure Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration" node in the "Security Information" section and select the desired option for this setting in the "Administrators" or "Users" group. Confirm the saving of the changes made by clicking the OK button and apply them by restarting the browser.
