The materials from which a computer is made take tens or even hundreds of years to decompose. Therefore, the disposal of computers, office equipment and other equipment is a social responsibility of each organization and individual person who wants to live in harmony with nature.
Instructions
Step 1
Do not throw away your computer, as this will violate the environmental legislation of the Russian Federation. Review the procedure for recycling computers. Erase all personal data from the computer before disposal. Use the appropriate programs or a set of programs to completely and permanently delete all information. Remember that only a professional programmer can erase especially valuable information without the possibility of its recovery.
Step 2
Contact a company that specializes in recycling computers and equipment if you work for a company or business and must keep records of the equipment you have. Find the company on the Internet or in the yellow pages. Write the appropriate application or contact a representative of this company and wait for the arrival of the brigade. Draw up a recycling agreement, pay for all services and take the appropriate act, which will subsequently need to be attached to the reports of your company or enterprise.
Step 3
Go to a computer company if you are an individual and want to get rid of outdated or unnecessary hardware. Give your computer for sale (if such a service is provided by a company) and conclude an agreement on the sale of obsolete equipment. Expect sales of your equipment. In case of successful implementation, the manager will contact you and offer to come to the company and collect the amount received from the sale. You can also offer the technical department to pick up your computer for spare parts.
Step 4
Place an advertisement for the sale, exchange or donation of your computer on the Internet, if you do not need to report on the available equipment. Provide your contact details and expect a call, letter or message from the person concerned. Thus, you will not only get rid of unnecessary equipment, but also protect the environment.
