Some video player models only play the native DVD format - “VOB”. Movies in MPEG, AVI, WMV and other popular video formats such players simply refuse to accept. To watch videos on these players, you need to convert individual files to a full DVD Video disc.
Necessary
Ashampoo Burning Studio 9
Instructions
Step 1
The latest editions of Ashampoo Burning Studio, for example, Ashampoo Burning Studio 9, does a good job of converting video files to DVD. The entire process of creating a DVD Video disc will be described using this version of the program, however, the steps and names of menu items in other editions of later or earlier versions are not much different from Ashampoo Burning Studio 9.
Step 2
Launch Ashampoo and on the main home screen of the program you will see a menu located on the left side. In this menu, select the item "Burn video and photos", the sub-item "Create and arrange your Video DVD". After that, you will go to the Video DVD recording program, where you need to select the TV screen format - 4: 3 or 16: 9. After selecting the screen format, click the "Next" button.
Step 3
You are in the window for adding video files. Click the Add Video button in the panel on the right. A small file selection window will appear on the screen, which is Windows Explorer. Find the folder with the movie you want to convert to DVD and select it with the left mouse button, then click the "Add" button. Wait while the program adds the file to the project, then click the Finish button if you plan to burn one movie. To record multiple movies, repeat the operation to add a video file.
Step 4
After the movies are added, in the main window, click "Next". Now you can choose one of several menu themes or do without the menu (checkbox "No menu" at the bottom in the right column of the program). After selecting a menu theme, click the Next button again.
