Make sure your USB cable is USB 2.0. If you have it first generation USB, then replace it. This is the most common reason for low bandwidth.

If the problem persists and the data transfer rate is still very low, then purchase a USB hub or USB port extender from a computer hardware store.

The problem may lie in the USB device itself. Before you buy an extender, check the USB device on other computers, it is possible that the device has some kind of defects.

Also, the large number of small files is the reason for the decrease in bandwidth when transferring data to the flash drive. To solve this problem, use an archiver to compress and combine all files into one archive. This will significantly increase the data transfer rate.

Another reason for the low bandwidth of the USB controller is the disabled corresponding option in the basic input / output system (BIOS) of your computer. To enter the BIOS, press the Delete or F2 key while booting the computer (depending on the BIOS version). Next, in the settings menu, find the "USB Configuration" item and activate it by setting its value to "Enabled". You will notice that there is a new item "USB 2.0 Controller Mode", in it set the value "FullSpeed". This will give permission for the USB 2.0 controller to use the maximum bandwidth it can afford without additional software and hardware overclocking.
