The ability to change the desktop screen saver is provided in most operating systems. It is best to use photographic images as virtual wallpaper. You can find them in free photo banks, as well as on the Wikimedia Commons website.
Instructions
Step 1
Go to the website of any free photo bank, for example, Stock. XCHNG. Enter in the search field one or more words in English that match the subject of the images you want to find. A list of photos with descriptions that include these words will be loaded shortly.
Step 2
Choose any of them. The page will load, where you will see an enlarged copy of the picture. Its horizontal resolution ranges from 300 to 400 pixels. If you are satisfied with this, download the image by moving the mouse arrow to it, pressing it with the right button and selecting the "Save Image" item or similar in the context menu.
Step 3
If you want to download photos in higher resolution, register on the site. To do this, go to the Register link located at the top of the page. Fill in all the fields. Make up a complex password and enter it in both fields provided for this. Some of the free microstocks require confirmation of registration by email. In this case, open the mailbox, the address of which you indicated during registration, and follow the link received in the registration message.
Step 4
Now enter the site using your username and password. Find the desired photo on the resource, as indicated above, go to its page, and then click on the image. It will load at maximum resolution. Download it. After you have finished using the site, follow the Logout link.
Step 5
On the Wikimedia Commons website, you do not need to register to download files in maximum resolution. It is required only for their placement on the resource. Once on the home page of a resource, enter a keyword or phrase in the Search field, and then click on the magnifying glass button. The first twenty results are loaded. You can go to the next page by clicking on the Next 20 link, and to the previous one by clicking on the Previous 20 link. You can also enable the modes of simultaneous display of 50, 100, 250 and 500 results.
Step 6
To view an enlarged image, click on it. After that, it will be possible to download it in the resolution in which it will be displayed. Below you will see a list of other available formats or the phrase "No higher resolution available". And to display the photo in maximum resolution, click on it or follow the link Full resolution.
