Instructions

Step 1

By default, the taskbar is located at the bottom of the screen. It contains: the "Start" button, the quick launch bar and the notification area. Each of the components has a different purpose, however, these parts cannot be separated from the area of the taskbar itself.

Step 2

In some cases, the taskbar may be hidden, it is difficult to move such a panel. To display it, move the cursor to the bottom of the screen and wait for the panel to "pop up". Click on the panel that appears with the right mouse button and select the "Properties" item in the context menu. Alternatively, press the Windows key, open Control Panel, and select the Taskbar and Start Menu icon from the Appearance and Themes category.

Step 3

In the dialog box that appears, go to the "Taskbar" tab and uncheck the "Automatically hide the taskbar" box. After that, apply the new settings and close the "Properties of the taskbar and start menu" with the OK button or the [x] icon located in the upper right part of the window.

Step 4

When the taskbar stops disappearing, click on it with the left mouse button and, without releasing the indicated button, drag the taskbar to the place in which it should be located. If you are unable to move the panel this way, make sure it is not docked.

Step 5

Docking the taskbar in a certain position is regulated by the presence / absence of a marker opposite the corresponding option. Click on the taskbar with the right mouse button and make sure that there is no check mark next to "Dock taskbar". If it exists, remove it by clicking on the specified item with the left mouse button.

Step 6

After that, drag the taskbar in the same way as described in the fourth step, and re-pin it, returning the marker opposite the item "Dock the taskbar". Remember that the taskbar can only be positioned at the edges of the screen; it will not fit in the center of the screen.
