Adblock Plus is an add-on for Mozilla Firefox that allows you to block pop-ups while browsing the web. It helps to get rid of annoying ads and speed up website loading.
Instructions
Step 1
… Open Mozilla Firefox to add Adblock Plus. Enter the link in the address bar https://addons.mozilla.org/en/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/. Then click on the "Download Now" button. Wait for the plugin to load, then restart the browser.

Then go to the "Tools" menu, select the "Add-ons" item. Go to the "Extensions" tab, select the Addblock Plus item. Then click on the "Settings" button.

Click on the "Add filter" button to add a filter manually, or you can select a standard subscription, the choice of subscription is offered immediately after you have installed the extension. Click on the "Add another subscription" button, in the dialog box that appears, click on the "View all known subscriptions" link.

Next, on the page that opens, select a Russian subscription to configure Adblock Plus. If most of the web pages you browse are American, then choose a American subscription. Or select multiple subscriptions. Highlight the one you need, click on the Subscribe link. Then, in the next window, click on the "OK" button. The initial setup of the Adblock Plus add-on is completed.
Step 5
Go to the site you want and block unnecessary content, for example, annoying banner ads. Press the key combination Ctrl + Shift + h and you will be prompted to select the element to be deleted, select it on the site and it will be blocked. In this way, you can remove individual banners, as well as entire ad units.
Step 6
Alternatively, right-click on the banner and select the "AdBlock Plus block image" command from the pop-up menu that appears. You can also create a rule to block banners from a single source. To do this, enter into the filter the address from which you mainly block banners, replace the last characters with an asterisk.
