Unfortunately, most antivirus software is not capable of dealing with absolutely all viruses. Sometimes you have to search for and delete malicious files and programs yourself.
Instructions
Step 1
If you come across a virus program that cannot be removed by the antivirus, or this program blocks the launch of your antivirus, then remove this utility yourself. If your antivirus offers to delete the file, and after confirming this procedure, a window appears informing about the impossibility of performing the operation, then remember the location of the malicious file. Open the My Computer menu and navigate to the folder where this file is located.
Step 2
Now select it and press the Shift and Delete keys. In the window that opens, click the "Yes" button. If a message appears that this file is being used by another program, press the Ctrl, alt="Image" and Delete keys at the same time. For Windows 7 and Vista operating systems, select Start Task Manager.
Step 3
Now open the Processes tab. Study the programs running on this computer or laptop very carefully. If you are in doubt about the purpose of any service, then read the data located in the "Description" column. After identifying a suspicious program, right-click on it. Select the "End process" item and confirm the operation of disabling this task. Try to delete the malicious file again.
Step 4
If you still could not delete the infected file, then start the system in safe mode. To do this, restart your computer and hold down the F8 button. From the pop-up menu, select the "Windows Safe Mode" option. Wait for the computer to start the operating system.
Step 5
Try again to delete the virus file after disabling unnecessary programs and services. If this fails, then uninstall your antivirus program and install another one. This will help deal with certain types of viruses.
