Instructions
Step 1
Many different utilities can be used to create a disk image. They all have their own advantages and disadvantages. If you decide to use Daemon Tools Pro, install it and restart your computer. This is required to complete the installation of the application. Run the Daemon Tools Pro utility.
Step 2
Insert the desired disc into your DVD drive. Open the "Service" tab and select the "Create Image" item or simply click on the similar inscription located in the left menu of the working window. After the window with the title "Create an image" appears, select the required drive in the "Drive" field. Select from the offered options the parameters of the disk reading speed. It is better to specify the maximum allowable value to speed up the process of creating an ISO image.
Step 3
In the "Output image file" item, specify the folder where the created ISO file will be saved. Check the boxes next to the items "Delete image on error" and "Add to the catalog of images". Set a password for the future ISO file, if necessary. Now press the Start button and wait for the new menu to appear. Activate the item "Close this window on success" by placing a check mark next to it. Wait for the program to finish creating the ISO image.
Step 4
If you have the Daemon Tools Lite program installed, then launch it and wait for the corresponding icon to appear in the system tray. Click on it with the right mouse button and select "Create image". Follow the algorithm described in the previous steps. Please be aware that not all versions of Daemon Tools Lite are designed for imaging.
Step 5
Please note that the creators of the Daemon Tools program recommend using the Pro version for creating images. If possible, then use it. Alternatively, you can try creating an image with the Alcohol utility.
