Startup List - a list of Windows programs that are automatically launched at system startup. The operating system from Microsoft supports editing this section both by its own means and with the help of additional applications.
Instructions
Step 1
Adding programs to startup can be done by means of the system. Starting with Windows 95, the user has the ability to edit this section through a special system folder. To go to it, go to the "Start" - "All Programs". In the presented list, right-click on the "Startup" folder and select "Open". You can also use the item "Open common for all menus". Applications copied to this folder will be launched when all users log on, if the computer is used by several people under different accounts.
Step 2
Copy the shortcut of the program you need to autorun from the desktop to the folder. Now this program will start immediately after turning on the computer and loading the operating system.
Step 3
You can also add the application to startup via the registry. To do this, go to "Start" - "All Programs" - "Accessories" - "Run" and enter the regedit command in the next line.
Step 4
In the window that appears, go to the required registry branch HKEY_CURRENT_USER - Software - Microsoft - Windows - CurrentVersion - Run. On the right side of the window, you will see a list of programs that are currently activated when Windows starts.
Step 5
To add your application, right-click on any free zone in the right part of the window and select "New" - "String parameter". In the "Parameter" field, enter the name of your program, and in the "Value" line, specify the path to the application executable file. To find it out, right-click on the shortcut of your program and select "Properties". Copy the value from the "Object" line and paste it into the "Value" field. The program has been added.
