Step 2
Most of the patches are located on the sites of the official versions of the game or on the portals created by fans. Also, quite often patches are located on general game resources (for example, https://www.playground.ru). In this matter, you should take into account right away that downloading patches for the game from other resources (especially those located on free servers) is extremely dangerous. Because, unfortunately, viruses or other malicious software are often inserted into patches. Therefore, before downloading from the site, you need to make sure that the download is safe, at least according to user reviews
Step 3
Most often, the patch is placed in the "installer" installation file. After starting, you need to specify the directory of the game, after which the patch will be installed correctly. Also, quite often the patch is placed in the archive (formats: rar, 7z, zip, etc.). In order to extract the patch from the archive, you need to use an archiver (for example, WinRar or 7Zip). It is better to install the newer versions, since the old ones do not work with some formats. After extraction, as a rule, you need to replace the old files in the game directory with new files from the archive. Usually, instructions are also attached to the archive.
