Converting images to monochrome black and white is one of the simplest graphics processing options. It is often necessary to make a picture in black and white, for example, before outputting to a printer that does not support color printing. In this case, before printing color diagrams, you need to convert them to monochrome in order to evaluate how clearly sectors of different colors are visible.
Instructions
Step 1
To make a drawing in black and white, you need special image viewers that allow you to perform the simplest image editing. There are a lot of such programs, and you can easily find them on the net. Let's name just a few: ACDSee Pro, XnView, PicaJet Photo Organizer, IrfanView and others. Typically, these viewers allow you to quickly adjust images: change color saturation, apply simple filters, automatically remove red-eye, etc.
Step 2
It is very simple to make a drawing in black and white, using the IrfanView program to view the pictures. After installing the program, open the image you want to change in it. Go to the "Image" menu and select the "Convert to Grayscale" command. The image will immediately turn black and white. The resulting result can be saved as a separate new file or replaced with the old picture.
Step 3
Quite often, you need to make a drawing in black and white in a document. In this case, you can first convert it to monochrome, and only then import it into the document. However, you can do it even easier. After inserting a picture, right-click on it and select Show Image Adjustment Panel from the drop-down menu. In the panel that appears, you will see several buttons. Clicking on the "Image Menu", select the command "Grayscale", and the picture in the document will become monochrome.
