Microsoft PowerPoint has several special features that you can use to quickly redesign your slides. One such tool is a set of color schemes that you can apply to an existing or new PowerPoint presentation.
Instructions
Step 1
Open Microsoft PowerPoint and create a new presentation where you would like to add custom color schemes. If you prefer, you can instead use the opening of an existing presentation to change the color scheme of the slides and customize it to your liking.
Step 2
Select the Format menu and click the Slide Design button in the taskbar on the right. Click the Color Schemes text link at the top of the Slide Design window to view the available color schemes. Use your mouse to select the Change Color Scheme option and the corresponding dialog box will open.
Step 3
Select a color scheme that you would like to apply to the current slide or to the entire presentation at once by clicking on it. Please note that each of the schemes can be customized at your discretion: you can choose between monochrome options, or use a gradient fill, which allows you to change the direction of colors, their combination, as well as the presence or absence of shadow border.
Step 4
Click the Change Color button in the Change Color Scheme dialog box to open the palette and specify the intensity of the tints. Choose any of the standard solutions, or use the Customization tab, select the color you want and click OK to close this dialog box and complete the customization.
Step 5
Continue choosing and changing the color scheme for your presentation. You can select any image on your computer to use as an alternative background for your presentation. Specify the path to the folder with it, click the "Apply" button. You can now close the Change Color Scheme window and preview your presentation to see if the solution you chose works for you.
