One of the most common and annoying defects that appear in photographs even at the time of shooting is the flashing of a part of the image. This happens when light sources or objects that create bright reflections enter the frame. You can remove glare in the image in the raster graphics editor Adobe Photoshop.

Instructions
Step 1
Load the bleached image into Adobe Photoshop. Press Ctrl + O on the keyboard or select the "Open …" item in the File section in the main menu. A dialogue will appear. Navigate to the directory with the image file. Highlight it in the listing. Click the "Open" button.
Step 2
Start creating a new adjustment layer to even out the brightness and contrast of the highlight. In the main menu, select Layer, New Adjustment Layer, "Brightness / Contrast …". The New Layer dialog will be displayed. Set its Opacity to 100%, and select None and Normal from the Color and Mode lists, respectively. If necessary, enter a name for the layer in the Name field. Click OK.
Step 3
Create an adjustment layer. After completing the previous step, the Brightness / Contrast dialog will appear. Activate the Preview option in it. Use the sliders or enter values in the corresponding text boxes to change the values for the Brightness and Contrast parameters. Control the amount of highlight reduction. Get at least partial effect. In the process of adjusting the parameters, the entire image area will become darker. Pay no attention to this. Only work on highlights. Click OK. This will automatically switch to an adjustment layer.
Step 4
Fill the layer mask with black. Activate the Paint Bucket Tool. Set the foreground color to black. Click the mouse anywhere on the picture. The image in the document window will change to its original appearance.
Step 5
Return the action of the adjustment layer in the desired areas. Set the foreground color to white. Activate the Brush tool. Choose a soft-edged brush with a suitable diameter. Set the opacity value (parameter Opacity) in the region of 5-10%. Brush on different areas of the highlight to achieve the desired effect. If there are areas that are too light, repeat steps 2-5 as many times as necessary.
Step 6
Save the corrected image to a file. Select the "Save As …" item in the File section of the main menu or press Ctrl + Shift + S on your keyboard. Specify the target format, file name and directory where it will be placed. Click the Save button.
