Computer technologies play an increasingly important role in the life of every person. Microphones, as devices that convert sound signals into electrical signals, enable the computer to perceive, hear, analyze, transmit and store sound.

Instructions

Step 1

Purchase a special adapter so that it has a jack for a large jack at the input, and a small jack at the output, such that will go into the slots of your sound card. This is necessary because most modern dynamic microphones have a large jack, or TRS 6, 35 mm.

Step 2

Plug the microphone into the adapter, and insert the adapter into the pink connector on the sound card. The assignments of the connectors on the sound card can be changed using special extended drivers. Make sure the pink connector is your input (by default, the pink connector is used for the microphone). As a rule, you can call the control panel of such a driver through the corresponding tray icon. If it is not there, then call it through the Windows control panel, section "Sound, speech and audio devices".

Step 3

In the system tray (a small panel in the lower right corner where the clock is located), right-click on the speaker icon. In the context menu, select the item "Adjust audio parameters".

Step 4

Next, go to the "Audio" tab, where you will see three sections of settings: "Sound playback", "Sound recording" and "MIDI playback". In the "Sound recording" section, click on the "Volume …" button. In the opened window of recording levels, adjust the microphone volume.

Step 5

Under each fader that adjusts the levels of the recording devices, there is a place for a check mark that completely mutes one or another device. Make sure the master fader is unchecked, which adjusts the recording level of all devices simultaneously, and in particular from the microphone.
