Disc finalization or finalization is performed when recording CDs in Audio Disc format. This procedure is imperative so that unnecessary songs are not added to your disc, which can lead to poor reading of the rest of the tracks on the medium.

CDBurnerXP software
Instructions
Step 1
For recording discs, it is always recommended to use free analogs of large software packages, which the user often does not need to install. Such a program for burning CDs is CDBurnerXP, the distribution kit of which can be downloaded from the official website https://www.cdburnerxp.se. On the loaded page, click the big Free Download button.
Step 2
After installing it, a shortcut will appear on the desktop, which must be launched. The main window of the program will appear in front of you. Select the Audio Disc item to burn mp3 or flac files. In the next window, you need to find the files you want to burn and move them to the block of your blank disk. Click the "Add" button or use the held left mouse button.
Step 3
After adding a group of files, look at the disk status bar, if it has changed color from green to red - there are quite a lot of files, some will have to be removed. Remember that you are converting compressed files to standard CD format. Delete some compositions until a green streak appears.
Step 4
Insert a blank disc into the tray and click the "Burn" button in the program window. In the window that opens, you must specify additional recording parameters: recording speed, number of copies, etc. One of the last options you need to select is “End Disc”. Check the box next to this item and click the "Burn Disc" button.
Step 5
In a few seconds, the files will begin to prepare for burning to a blank CD. The recording process can last from a couple of minutes to several tens (it all depends on the selected speed). The lowest speed is considered to be the ideal speed for recording CDs, but in some cases the user is impatient to listen to a freshly burned disc, therefore such discs often turn out to be inoperative.
