Instructions
Step 1
Click the "Start" button to bring up the main menu of the system and go to the "Run" item to initiate the procedure for changing the serial number of Windows XP.
Step 2
Enter regedit in the Open box and click OK to launch the Registry Editor tool (for Windows XP).
Step 3
Expand the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / Software / Microsoft / WindowsNT / CurrentVersion / WPAEvents registry key and specify the oobetimer parameter in the right side of the program window (for Windows XP).

Select the Modify value and close the Registry Editor utility (for Windows XP).

Return to the main Start menu and go to Run.

Enter% systemroot / system32 / oobe / msoobe.exe / a. Click OK to confirm the launch of the Windows Activation Wizard (for Windows XP).

Select I want to telephone a customer service representative to activate Windows, and then click Next (for Windows XP).
