ITunes backup is used to save information from your phone to your computer. This option allows you to protect the user from possible data loss in the event of a problem with the device or computer. Disabling the creation of a backup copy can be done through the program menu.
Instructions
Step 1
Every time you connect your Apple device to your computer, the backup procedure starts. It takes some time and during this operation it is impossible to copy any data from the computer by the user.
Step 2
Exit iTunes to disable backup. To exit, click on the "File" - "Exit" tab or on the keyboard shortcut Win and Q.
Step 3
Open the file that contains all the program settings. It is located in the "Start" - "Computer" - "Local drive C:" - "Users" - "Your username" - AppData - Roaming - Apple Computer - iTunes. This directory contains XML documents that store part of the application settings.
Step 4
Copy the iTunesPrefs.xml file to any folder on your computer as a backup, so that in case of problems while editing a document, you can always restore the program.
Step 5
Open the document in the iTunes folder using any text editor other than Notepad. You can use the Notepad ++ utility, which can be downloaded from the official site of the utility developer.
Step 6
Go to the User Preferences section and paste the following code after the start of the section:
DeviceBackupsDisabled
dHJ1ZQ ==
Step 7
After pasting the code, save your changes. To do this, use the "File" - "Save" tab. You can now launch iTunes. The procedure for disabling automatic synchronization is now complete.
