Most modern DVD players perfectly “understand” the avi video format. Therefore, no conversion is required, and recording should be straightforward. In most cases, it is enough to drag the required files into the recording program window, adjust the burning speed, press the "record" button and wait for the process to finish. If you want to be guaranteed to play the video on any DVD player, it should be converted. With this, for example, the Nero program does an excellent job.
Necessary
Computer, Nero program
Instructions
Step 1
Open the Nero program. Next, you need to select the "StartSmart" item. On the "Photos & Videos" tab, select "Make video DVD". A window will open allowing you to add files for recording. Click the "Add video files" button and search for them through the explorer. Or, simply with the left mouse button, drag their icons directly into the program window.
Step 2
By default, NeroVision Express places two hours of video on a standard DVDR disc. Obviously this is too little. So you may need to change the encoding quality to fit more videos on the disc. To access the settings, click on the More button at the bottom of the screen and then select Video Options.
Step 3
Once your video files are added to the list, and you are satisfied with all the settings, click the "Next" button in the lower right corner. This will take you to the menu edit screen. Here you can select the menu style, number of screens, frames, buttons, musical accompaniment and much more. Edit the menu as you need it and click the "Next" button.
Step 4
On the next screen, the program allows you to select the "write to hard drive" option. If you select this option, the video will be written to a file on your computer instead of directly to a DVD-R. Thus, you can check the quality before recording, which in some cases can save a disc. Files can easily be burned to DVD-R later using the Burn DVD-Video option. If you want to burn video directly to DVD-R, reduce the burn speed. Probably the best option is 4x (by default the speed is set to the maximum the DVD-ROM allows).
Step 5
After everything is configured properly, click on the "Record" button. The conversion will take some time to watch this video in real time.
