If you want to overclock the cooler of your video card, then remember that for its subsequent safe and stable operation you need a good level of cooling and a correctly selected frequency of the type.

Instructions

Step 1

For this purpose, there is a special program called RivaTuner. Use 3DMark to test the settings.

Step 2

Please install RivaTuner regardless of which video card model is. After you do this, the program will collapse into a panel near the clock. Extract it with a mouse click. You will see the inscription "Settings" in the main window, next to it - a triangle. Click on it to bring up a new menu. To open the frequency control panel, click on the microcircuit icon in this menu under the name "Low-level system settings".

Step 3

So, in front of you are two sliders that you can move and, thereby, change the frequencies of the memory and the chip. First, check the box next to the item that allows overclocking - it is located above the sliders. The program determines the approximate allowable limit for increasing the values, denoting it with labels. Tip: Gradually raise the frequencies by a few percent. And after each such change, click on the "Test" button before applying the frequency. After you tune the frequencies, check the box under the heading "Run with Windows".

Step 4

Next, adjust the speed of the cooler. Click on the Cooler tab. Allow by ticking one more checkbox to change the following parameters and look at the menu. Decide whether the speed will be automatically measured as the temperature rises, or you can set the speed you deem necessary as a percentage.

Step 5

Now you need to test your overclocking graphics card. Launch the 3DMark program, select any of the tests you like and look at the frames from the games that follow. The program will calculate performance over a specified period of time. If your system is working fine, then this means that the video card has become faster.
