Filming home video with a camera, phone, tablet has become an integral part of life. The resulting videos are posted on the Internet, on personal pages in social networks. True, sometimes, in order for the plot to turn out to be the most successful, it needs to be cut off. Fortunately, today this process does not take much time, because there are many special programs for this.
Currently, there are many applications that can shorten the film by cutting out unnecessary parts from the plot. Among them, an honorable place is occupied by both professional programs and specialized "narrow" utilities that are available even for beginners. Here are just a few of them.

Boilsoft Video Splitter is a rather compact application, the program weighs about 16 MB, but it is very very simple and convenient. Install the program on your computer or use a portable version that does not require installation. Launch the application and click the "Open" button at the top of the working window, thanks to which you can find the video file you need on your computer. Double click or button to add it to the project.
With Boilsoft Video Splitter you can split your movie or video into several equal parts. To do this, use the "Divide by" function and in the empty window specify the number of segments into which you are going to cut the file.
You can also cut out a specific part of the movie. To do this, you need to put a check mark in the second paragraph of the program options "Cut a fragment of your choice". In the upper and lower fields, specify the time interval from which you want to trim the file and finish editing the movie. Then click the "Run" button.
For the convenience of working, the program has a viewing window and a time scale, according to which you can most accurately determine the parameters of your video clip.
After this step, a new program window will open, in which you will need to select the split mode: direct streaming cut (without transcoding) or with transcoding.
Cutting a file directly to streaming is very fast and without loss of quality. AVI, MPEG, VOB, MP4, 3GP, RM, ASF, WMV, WMA, MKV, MP3 and FLV formats available for processing.
Then click the "OK" button and specify the location to save the cut fragment. In the same window, you can specify a new name for the video file and its type. Video cropping capabilities are also available in Nero. To do this, you will need to use the application. Launch the program and in the main window select the "Photos and Videos" section. In the list of functions, find the item “Convert DVD-Video Movies to Nero Digital (TM)” and start the Nero Recode application. Click the Import button. files”, open the movie folder and add the desired video to the project. Then go to the "Trim Movie" section and specify the start and end points of the file.
