There are such films, after watching which something seems to click inside, and from time to time you want to revisit your favorite scenes from the picture. Storing the movie entirely on the hard drive doesn't make sense. But you can cut out your favorite episodes from the film.
Instructions
Step 1
First, decide on the software that you will use to solve the problem at hand. The Windows operating system includes the standard Movie Maker video editor. It cannot be classified as professional, but the available functions are more than enough to cut a scene you like from a movie. As an alternative to this editor, such serious multimedia applications as Sony Vegas, Adobe Premiere, Pinnacle Studio, etc. can be used.
Step 2
Launch your chosen video editor. Select the "File" - "Open" menu. In the explorer window that opens, find the required movie file, select it and click the "Open" button, or double-click on it. The file will open on the video editor's timeline and will consist of two tracks. The video track is usually at the top with the audio track below it. Find the episode of the movie you like that you want to cut, and use the toolkit of the program to cut it. Often the required tool is called "Scissors" or is the "Divide" function.
Step 3
After the selected sequence is trimmed, you need to save it as a separate video file. Select the menu "File" - "Save as" (also the sub-item can be called "Calculate as", and in some programs saving is carried out through the menu "Import"). Select the format in which you want to save the video (you can additionally set the audio and video compression settings, select the codec, set the resolution), name the file and click the "Save" button. After a while, the episode from the movie will be saved.
