But what if you want to listen to musical excerpts not only on your personal computer, but also on your favorite mp3 player? No problem! You just need to cut the audio track from the movie and download it to your mobile device.

Instructions
Step 1
Open the movie in the VirtualDub video editor. This can be done by dragging the desired file into the program window from the explorer or file manager, as well as by selecting it in the "Open video file" dialog. To display the file selection dialog, press the key combination Ctrl + O, or use the "File" and "Open video file …" items of the main menu.
Step 2
Set the selection boundaries of the video fragment from which you want to save the audio data. Move the slider at the bottom of the application window so that the first frame of the desired fragment is displayed in the source video preview pane. Press the "Home" key or select "Edit" and "Set selection start" from the menu. A check mark appears below the slider indicating the start of the selection. Set the end of the video selection. To do this, move the slider to the end frame of the fragment. Click the "End" button, or click on the "Edit" and "Set selection end" menu items. A selection will appear in the slider area. The slider can be moved with the mouse, using the control buttons below it, or using the "Go" menu commands.
Step 3
Turn on the audio stream processing mode. Select the "Audio" item in the main menu and then check the "Full processing mode" item.
Step 4
Specify the encoder and compression options for the audio stream. Sequentially select "Audio" and "Compression…" from the menu. In the left list of the displayed "Select audio compression" dialog, select one of the installed codecs. The list of data compression formats supported by the codec will be displayed in the list on the right. Highlight your preferred format. Click the "OK" button.
Step 5
Save the audio track from the movie to a file. In the main menu, select the "File" and "Save WAV…" items. The save dialog will be displayed. Specify the target directory and file name in it. Click the "Save" button. Wait until the process of writing data to disk is completed.
