Every user of ESET NOD32 antivirus should be prepared for its frequent, possibly false positives. Everything is explained by the fact that the ESET firewall has the peculiarity of blocking all connections and access to the Internet of any applications unknown to it in order to prevent computer infection. To prevent this, you need to add some program or site to the exception.
Instructions
Step 1
Open the main antivirus window. To do this, find the ESET icon in the lower right corner of the screen and double-click on it with the left mouse button.
Step 2
In the left column, find the "Settings" item and select it, after which a new window will open. Carefully study its contents, and then find the button to go to advanced settings ("Go to advanced options …"). The button is at the bottom of the page.
Step 3
A small window with ESET settings will open again, in which you have to select the "Computer" item from the left column (it is the first in the list), and then click on the "+" (plus sign) located right next to it.
Step 4
New menu items will appear, from which select "Virus and Spyware Protection" and click on the "+" next to it. Again you will see a menu in which select the "Exceptions" item.
Step 5
In the lower part of the window that opens, click on the "Add" button, and in the following, according to the principle described above, open the "Computer" menu and select the file or folder you need (which you want to remove from the anti-virus scan). Save changes by clicking OK. Close the antivirus window.
Step 6
Also, you can add not only a program, but also a website to ESET exclusions. To do this, open ESET Advanced Settings. In the left column, select "Web & Email" and expand it. Next, click on the "URL Management" item.
Step 7
Click "Add" and in the window that appears in front of you, enter the address of the site added to the exclusions. Find the field "List activated" above the list of exclusions and check the box next to it, if it is not checked. Click OK, then you can close the antivirus window. ESET will no longer block this website.
