The icon placed on the desktop is usually created by the game, like any other application, during the installation process. If, as a result of a malfunction in the installer, this did not happen, or you unchecked the box for creating a shortcut, then you can place it on the desktop or in any other directory yourself - there are quite a few ways to do this in Windows.
Instructions
Step 1
If a shortcut is to be created on the desktop, then right-click on the background image, open the "New" section in the context menu and select the "Shortcut" line. This will launch the Shortcut Wizard. The same can be done in any folder open in Explorer.
Step 2
Enter the full path leading to the executable file of the game in the field under the "Specify the location of the object." This can be done either manually or by finding it in a separate window opened by pressing the keyboard shortcut alt="Image" + "O" (this is a Russian letter) or by clicking on the "Browse" button. Then click on the "Next" button.
Step 3
Type the text of the signature under the label in the field below the inscription "Enter the name of the label" and click on the "Finish" button. The game icon will appear on the desktop of the operating system.
Step 4
You can do the operation in the reverse order - first, by pressing the win and e keys, open Windows Explorer, then go to the folder where the game is installed. Find the executable file in it, right-click it and select the line "Create shortcut" in the pop-up context menu. The shortcut will be created in the same folder - move it to your desktop or to the desired directory.
Step 5
The drag-and-drop operation itself can also be used as a method for creating a shortcut. To do this, as in the previous step, find the executable file of the game in the Explorer and drag it with the right mouse button to the desktop. After you release the mouse button, a menu will pop up, in which you should select the "Create shortcuts" item. In this way, you can create shortcuts not only on the desktop, but also in the menu on the "Start" button. Drag the executable file of the game onto it, but do not release it, but hold it over the button for a second or two - the menu will open, and you will be able to place a shortcut to any subsection, stopping in the same way for a couple of seconds above each section that you want to open.
